In Israel, approximately 8.3 percent of families face food insecurity at some point in time. Food insecurity is defined as the inability of a family to obtain or prepare nutritious meals in both quality and quantity to meet its nutritional needs. Food insecurity can sometimes result from financial difficulties for a very long time. The world’s population is affected by food insecurity by nearly 10%.
Our Work Is Our Passion
We at Meir Panim are working to help the 10.6% of the population who are food insecure. In order to ensure the food security of local communities, Charity For Israel collaborates with local communities and does everything within its power to meet their food demands. That is because we are deeply committed to philanthropy in Israel. Everyone is welcome at Meir Panim’s dining centers. There are hundreds of people who visit our dining facilities every day to enjoy hot, flavorful meals served in a restaurant-like setting by a server.
Donate to Israeli Charities and Help Humanitarian Causes
Meir Panim cares for the elderly, children, and anyone who needs assistance, especially during lockdowns and the Covid-19 pandemic. The others kept their distance in order to save their lives, but we moved closer to the hungry and heartbroken people. While our Or Akiva branch is not normally open on Fridays, we chose to keep it open due to a large number of people in need. To ensure that everyone had an enjoyable Shabbat, we distributed Shabbat meals, challah, and candles!
Come forward and assist Israel now!
